Something not working, or just want to know how a thing is meant to behave? Start below — most questions are answered here. If yours isn't, email us and a real person will read it.

The short version: email and we'll get back to you, usually within a couple of days. Everything below is the stuff we get asked most.

1.Get in touch

One address, and it reaches us directly. There's no ticket queue and no bot in front of it.

  • Email:
  • From the app: open Profile, scroll down, and tap Contact us. It opens a mail draft to the same address.

To get a useful answer on the first reply, tell us what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About) help a lot with anything visual or crash-related. A screenshot helps even more.

2.What you need to run it

  • An iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
  • Voyagera is built for iPhone. It will install and run on an iPad at iPhone size, but the layout isn't designed for the bigger screen yet — a proper iPad version is on the list.
  • A connection for planning, generating a guide and syncing. Once things are on your phone, most of the app keeps working without one — see going offline.

3.Signing in

Voyagera uses Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In only. There is no email-and-password option, which means there's no password to forget and no reset link to wait for.

  • Can't get past the sign-in screen? Check you have a connection, then try the other button. If you first signed up with Apple, signing in with Google creates a separate account rather than finding your old one — use the same button you started with.
  • Used Apple's "Hide My Email"? That's fine, everything works. Just know that emailing us from a different address makes it harder for us to match you to your account.
  • Signing out lives in Profile. It leaves your account and your trips intact — it isn't the same as deleting anything.

4.What costs money, and what doesn't

Planning is free. That includes the AI itinerary, the travel concierge, the map, the group tools, budgets, packing lists and your passport. There is no subscription, no credit pack and no upgrade tier.

The one thing you can pay for is an audio guide, and it's a one-time unlock you keep — not a rental. You can unlock a single place, or every guide in a city at once, including ones added to that city later.

5.Purchases, restores and refunds

I paid and the guide didn't unlock

Your receipt is confirmed by our server rather than by your phone, so on a slow connection it can take a minute to land. Nothing is lost while you wait.

  1. Close the guide, wait a moment, and open it again.
  2. Still locked? Go to the Audio tab, tap Purchases (top right), then Restore purchases.
  3. Still nothing after that, email us with the date of the purchase and we'll sort it out.

I reinstalled, or got a new phone

Unlocks follow your store account, not your handset. Sign in, open Audio → Purchases → Restore purchases, and everything you've bought comes back.

Refunds

All App Store purchases are billed by Apple, and Apple handles the refunds — we can't issue one ourselves. Request it at reportaproblem.apple.com, or in Settings → your name → Media & Purchases on your iPhone. If something we built is the reason you're asking, tell us too — we'd rather fix it.

6.Audio guides

Nothing plays when I reach a place

Guides start on their own when you get close to a stop, which needs location access.

  • Open Settings → Voyagera → Location on your iPhone and make sure it's set to While Using the App, with Precise Location on. Without precision, we can't tell which side of a square you're on.
  • Guides play with the screen off, but the app has to have been opened for that walk — a tour you never started won't wake up on its own.
  • Indoors and in dense city centres, GPS drifts. Opening the guide and tapping the stop yourself always works.

The voice sounds wrong, or won't speak

Pick a different narrator in Profile → Narrator. The natural-sounding voice runs on your phone and needs a one-time download the first time you use it; if that download was interrupted, reopening the app retries it. If it still won't load, the app falls back to your phone's built-in voice so narration never dead-ends.

Listening offline

Play a guide through once while you still have signal. The ring around the guide's icon fills as each clip is saved, and turns solid when the whole tour will play with no connection at all. Do that before you fly and the guide works on the ground.

Short on space? Deleting a guide's downloaded audio frees it up and never touches what you've unlocked — you can play it again any time. Profile → Clear place cache does the same for saved place data.

7.Notifications

Voyagera only sends things tied to a trip you're actually on — a departure nudge, a plan change, a message from someone you're travelling with. We don't send marketing.

  • Turn them on or off per type in Profile → Trip notifications.
  • If nothing arrives at all, iOS is probably blocking them: Settings → Voyagera → Notifications → Allow Notifications. Also check Focus modes and Scheduled Summary, which quietly hold notifications back.

8.Your data and privacy

The full picture is in our Privacy Policy. The parts people ask about:

  • Analytics are optional. Turn them off under Profile → Usage analytics. Nothing about the app stops working.
  • Preferences you set — dietary rules, accessibility needs — are sent to the AI so it can respect them. If you'd rather they weren't, clear them in your traveller preferences; planning still works, it just won't account for them.
  • Photos you add as trip covers are uploaded so co-travellers can see them. Anything you publish to Explore is public by design.
  • We don't sell your personal information.

9.Blocking and reporting

Trip chat is limited to people invited to that trip, but if someone is out of line you have both tools in the app.

  • Press and hold a message to Report it, or Block the person who sent it. Blocking hides their messages from you straight away.
  • Undo it any time under Profile → Blocked accounts.
  • Reports come to us. If something needs attention faster, email us and say so in the subject line.

10.Deleting your account

You can erase your account and its data yourself, in a few taps, from inside the app — or ask us to do it if you can't sign in. It's permanent either way. The full walkthrough, including what happens to trips you shared with other people, is on the Delete Your Account & Data page.

11.Still stuck

Write to us at . Bug reports, features you wish existed, a guide that got a fact wrong, a place we should be covering — all of it is welcome, and all of it gets read.
